Author FAQ

If you are an author and want me to ask you some questions about a new book or a very popular one, then you can find me on Twitter as @BookFangirling - from there I will give you my email address and we can let the interviewing begin!

So far I have interviewed:

  • Heidi Garrett
  • Daniel M. Fife
  • Gerry Fostaty

So do you want to be added to the list?

Any genre at all, but it just has to be suitable for Young Adults!

It's perfectly alright if you want a book review, but don't expect me to have a review of your book any time soon! I prefer reading books of my own choice and if I say I will review your book then please be patient as I am currently trying to get through a stack of hand picked books. Thanks for waiting!

Please contact me if you have any questions,

Seeing as England is one of my favorite places, I selected the Tower Bridge as the focus of the cover art for my first title. I write the Cassie and Chloe series of children's adventure books. They are new age /sci-fi / adventure/ fantasy action stories for children and tweens. I thought you would possible enjoy reading and reviewing one or both, or perhaps your blog readers might be interested in an author's interview. Please have a look at the books' descriptions:

and please advise me if you would like to proceed. Thank you, and may all your best dreams come true.

  10. Hi,

After checking out the Book Tweeting Service, I'm contacting you to see if you'd be interested in reviewing my Young Adult Thriller, Jaded.

    The Blurb:

Jade has spent her entire life within the confines of the eye-color- obsessed Nirvana commune. She dreams of experiencing freedom but travel to the Outside is forbidden. Besides, she’s a dutiful daughter who never breaks the rules. As her seventeenth birthday approaches, however, she realizes just how little she wants to follow the commune rules. She doesn’t want to undergo another eye color surgery, or immediately choose a life partner, or follow her parents’ life paths of teaching or wine making. In fact, her green eyes suit her just fine, she’s never even been on a date, and she’s passionate about photography. And yet she’s resigned to do as she’s told because it’s easier for her to close her eyes and follow orders.
Her Grandmother Ruby’s murder is the catalyst that causes Jade to open her eyes wide for the first time in her life. She’s devastated yet determined to find the killer and their motive. With help from her mysterious friend Tyrian, and Peaches, the commune leader’s sweet daughter, Jade unearths dark secrets which include her mother’s illicit affair, her maternal grandparents’ escape from Nirvana, and a plethora of murders. To make matters worse, someone is hell bent on ending Jade’s mission for the truth, and that someone is most likely the killer.
Jade can’t continue conforming to an evil society and yet she fears the Outside is just as corrupt. If she resolves to flee and is caught, the punishment is banishment to the slave cabins…and blinding.
Although Jaded is considered a young adult dystopian novel, adults will be able to relate to Jade’s plight.

  13. Hello...

I found you on under the book reviewers section and I'm writing to ask if you are available to review an e-book I currently have on Kindle:

"The Beautiful Angel... A Christmas Love Story".

It's a young adult Christmas story loosely inspired by true events (my personal experiences) and has been described as "A Christmas Carol" meets "It's a Wonderful Life".

I would love to send you a review copy or, if you like, I'm having a free promotional day for my Kindle e-book from Sunday, 12/7 to Monday, 12/8.

    The link is here:

  14. Hi Hannah

I recently found your page on Urbanpics, and was hoping that you could read and review my new novel for me. Maturinus: School Days is a dystopian young adult novel set in a world of broken history and superpowered humans, and as such I feel it'll be much to your liking.

Catherine Holmes wakes up with her hands around a stranger’s throat, no memories in her head and untapped power at her fingertips. As an Adept, a human with supernatural powers, she’s taken to Maturinus, The British Empire’s premier academy to learn how to keep them under control. But the rigors of school life are tough enough without including gruelling assault courses and explosive arena fights into the curriculum, and can she make it through the year unchanged when she barely knows who she is to begin with?

  16. Hi,
How's it going? Thanks for all the work you've been doing with the reviews!

I've just finished a hot new KETOGENIC DIET: A Ketogenic Cookbook with 30 Easy Paleo Ketogenic Recipes For Quick Weight Loss And a Healthier Body book and was wondering if you'd like to read through it?
If you're a fan of Paleo Ketogenic Diet, you'll absolutely ADORE this book and sleep with it under your pillow.

I've attached it in this email for you for your convenience. I'd appreciate a short review of what you thought about it.

    Here's the Amazon link:
It'd be great if you can let me know when you'll start reading so I can look out for it!

  17. You know, I came here to ask you to review a book for one of my authors, but all I see is people asking you for reviews and interviews and stuff, so now I'm not going to ask you for a darned thing.

Instead I'll ask: is there anything I can do for YOU? I know a LOT of authors, editors, book designers, graphic designers, illustrators, and marketing specialists, and have my own author services company, so if there's anything you need, if I can't help I probably know someone who can. I can't imagine what you might need, but I try not to make assumptions based on appearances. :)

Love your blog! It's so friendly and warm and inviting and (my favorite word) authentic. The Internet needs more of that, so thank you!

  18. Hello !

My name is Emanuel Andrei Cosutchi aka ACE977 and I need a review.
I know you because TYB Book Promotions followed me on Twitter.

I live in Europe ( Romania), I am EU citizen.
I will be 40 years old this August. I worked as Software Tester. I love the Sci-Fi & Fantasy genre. I have read books, watched movies and played video games. I decided one day to become writer and create my own Sci-Fi universe. I am committed to the hard science fiction category. This will not kill the joy and I want insert in my work action, romance, humor and thriller. All of names, description and plots are my genuine creation. There are too many clones of Star Wars / Star Trek etc. and I don't want to jump in this bandwagon.
I try to publish in my own country but I was ignored because I am a newbie / greenhorn / raw-hand / tyro etc. This don't stopped me to write.
I published on Amazon only 1 short Sci-Fi story, called THE RESTORATION. This is available here: in Kindle and in paperback.
I just ran a promotional campaign and I offered my book for free, but nobody left me any review. The next campaign I can do it only in July 2017.
The book it is still enrolled in the KDP Select program (also be included in Kindle Unlimited (KU) and the Kindle Owners' Lending Library (KOLL) ) - this mean you can read for free (or from my attachment if you provide me an email address).
This short Sci-Fi story is important for me because I work now on a bigger project, a space opera called Starship "Apple of Discord" (it has reserved ISBN on CreatSpace already, will be available on 2-3 months). And I want to know if the readers like my style or what I should improve on my work.

Thank you in advance and I expect your review for my book The restoration on Amazon or by email. Feel free to post anything on other media.
Or please let me know if you are at least interested by my demand.

CONTACT: ( my website still require some terraforming, but I don't have enough time)

  21. Hello Hannah,

I'm also from the north west :) grew up on the Wirral and now live in Chester.

Anyway, like many on here I have am messaging to ask if you would be interested in reviewing a book. It's a novel about superheros called Moon Girl 1: Moon Rise. It's a sci-fi fantasy for young adults.

    Here's the blurb:
Ever since the turn of the millennium people have been developing powers. 15 years later these people have taken up masks and the age of heroes and villains has begun.
Dreda is just trying to get a job and get somewhere with her life. But it doesn't take much to stumble upon a villain's plan. It just took being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or in Dreda's case, hand your application to the wrong person.
In a super hero world that isn't all it seems, Dreda finds her way to a job she never expected. Follow Dreda's path to becoming Moon Girl.

If you want anymore info you can check out my website:

If you are interested in reviewing you can e-mail me at and I'll get a pdf copy to you. (The kindle version is on free promotion until the 8th of May if you wanted to grab it then instead)

  22. Hello Hannah,
    After finding your listing in:
I decided to contact you to see if you might be interested in reading and reviewing my Kindle novel: "Vampires of Gnosson, Book One", first book of a saga—and, for now, the only one published by Amazon.
It is a sci-fi novel with lots of archaeology, Egyptian gods and adventure, with plenty of vampires and related—while slightly more unusual—beings, which takes place partly on mid-twenty first century Earth (mostly France, Sweden and the Levant) and partly in alien landscapes.
More details, and of course the blurb and first two chapters, can be found at:
Since it’s available in Kindle Unlimited, should you be interested and a subscriber, you could read it in its entirety in Kindle format for free. Otherwise, I'd be glad to email you the PDF/ePub version to that effect. Needless to say, in that case I'd also very much appreciate if you would kindly let me know when and where to take a peek at your review, once completed.
More information is available at my site: includes links to previous interview in case you'd care to take a look.
Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience, be it for further discussion, to request the file or to let me know of your decision.
Thank you very much for your attention.

  23. My name is Nakoma and I am with Ni-Cola Entertainment, a company that specializes in family friendly science fiction entertainment. I am writing to you to see if you would be interested in reviewing our new book, Captain Cosmos in Spin A Web of Death, written by my partner, Nicola Cuti.

It is a YA science fiction novel packed with relatable characters, action, and suspense.

    Here is the synopsis:
Cosmos had a nice little business as a surveyor of alien worlds and a shipper of freight to colonized planets. When he received word that an inhabited planet was about to erupt, he was ready with his vessel to rescue the natives from the doomed world, but when the leaders refused rescue he knew this simple task was about to become deadly. Will Captain Cosmos be able to change their minds or will he and his crew perish along with an entire civilization?

The book has just been released and is for sale on Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and will be listed on our site also.

Mr. Cuti is would also love to do an author interview for your site and we can also do a book giveaway too.

If you would like to review the book, please contact me at and I can send over a copy of the novel.

    Thank you in advance.

  24. Hello Hannah,

I contacting you on behalf of my client, Aaron Braxton, regarding JESSE AND THE CATERPILLAR WHO GOT ITS WINGS.

I know you organically love books and this one is a gem. it’s a heartwarming, humorous and deeply moving, coming-of-age American story about an awkward 5th grade loner, who experiences love, loss, friendship and heartache, while using the shape shifting changes of caterpillars - from crawling earthbound creatures, to graceful winged beauties - as lessons for life, overcoming shyness, and discovering his true greatness.

When there's greatness inside, who says you can't fly.

If interested I can send you a paperback or pdf file of the novel. Aaron Braxton is also available for interviews. Check out his site at
